Yo so ive been so lazy with taking my camera with on bmx missions an i been focusing on my second half of my photography course that ive almost neglected this blog, but dont fear a went somewhere new this weekend :) The sports unlimited in tokai/retreat opened their new indoorpark recntly an its awesome to say the least, Super fast and tight makes this park a lil hard to get used to at first but eventually u get the flow. The park consists of a 2 mini ramps basically. The one has a spine in the middle an the other which joins on to make a hip is alot more mellow without a spine but has a bank next to it. The park being so tight makes it a lil hard to utilize the bank but the two minis are no problem. The park was intended for skaters because they are anti metal pegs and pedals :( i can repsect taking my pegs off but where am i supposed to get plastic pedals?? sucks cuz i dont trust plastic parts so much an im not about to but a pair just for indoor park use, but whateva. So sunday Pauli n I made a mission down where we met up with blaze an pierre for a lil session so heres a few from the sunday afternoon. enjoy

GENerally eXciting

So last saturday i went to gen x only to find that the parks closed for minor repairs.. sucks cuz i drove so far for nothing but awesome cuz the park is gettin some upgrades from a soccer pitch to trailz. This saturday i went back with avengance and my camera to finish off my project (due tomorrow..) . There waz a descent turnout an dam have the locals stepped it up an gotten dialed, kids are boosting higher that ever an gettin up to the 12 foor mark on the wall ride. So watch out for the comps comin up cuz these kids got skillz yo. K nuff bout the skillz an more bout the photos, Werner waz on form as usual an killing the jumps, a lil kid named Jacques waz hittin the wall ride so high (up to 13ft) an when i gave him a lil photo attention he started to throw tab;es outta his 12ft + wallrides.. madness. Savage is always awesome to absorb, hes got tricks like ms andersons got boobs an he aint shy to throw it big, so heres the top 5 of the day. Safe

back for the attack

Yo so i havnt taken pics in a kak long time.. ive been busy gettin my racebike ready an i havnt been on my bmx that much.. There was a vortex last week an the weeks before i had practise an a raceday so i been pretty busy. Also i started my photography course yesterday an so i bought a new camera. Ive upgraded from a fujifilm finepix to a nikon SLR and im lovin it, The nikon is actually so easy to use once i got famaliar with it an it encourages me to stretch my creativity. I went to a new spot in rondebosch east on sunday where i met up with alot of the usuals. I took lots of pictures durin the afternoon but as the evening neared i bailed an went face first to the ground.. kinda a anti climax to an awesome day of riding new spots an using a new camera.. The faceplant gave me a concussion (again) an to be honest i dont remember much of sunday let alone half of the pictures i took.. so yea heres some of the day. enjoy

maitland madness

maitland park, koeberg park, da park unda the bridge or whateva u wanna call it is always a dope session. Me , dimitri, grant, goody an dale made a mission down yesterday for some peg fun. It was an awesome day with blue skies an min wind. Grant went to work with the some barspins outta the hip an a double tire on the rail to bars out. Goody was takin flight an schoolin da kids on how to let go of your bars with out falling. Dimitri is just mad, thats how u describe his riding. Every trick he does makes an impact either on the concrete or on himself but never the less hes got some mad skillz an some sweet 3 o,s. Grant got behind the lens to snap a quick pic of me doin a smith to tooth pik slide on the flat ledge. At the moment this park must me by favourite spot an some guys have alotta plans for that place so til the next mission. peace

this valentines weekend played host to our 3rd reali big street mish thanks to James. We met up at the toys r us in belville an slowly but surely more an more riders rocked up. There musta been like 40 of us roaming the streets an invading the spots. First stop was this mad bank where plenty o tricks went down. Johan did a potent hop ova the rail from the bank then turn around to hop back ova the rail into the bank. James told me about a rail a lil further on which we made a mission to. With not much time by the spot i threw down my frist double peg on a down rail so im super stoked on that. After gettin tuned to leave we cranked to a crooked white ledge, it was a lil awkward to ride so i absorbed alota wall ride an grind tricks. Blaze did a very good hop over followed by Johan doin a 180 ova it. We then went to a cool rail set up where clemi did a wall ride ova the rail to hop ova again. This was the last new spot we hit till we went back to the toys r us place. The bunch of shops across the road had cool rails where we all jus had a lil fun to end off the day, Unfortunately my buddy lyall attempted a hop iva the rail to drop but he cased an went ova the bars an his face went grond toe. Not a pretty site but he walked away with a bruised bek an ego. The day was awesome so props to james for organising it an handin out TheRiot vouvhers through the day. GEN X

Today me, mitz an eddy made a mission to gen x in table view. The weather waz awesome an we were fresh an ready to ride. Im not a fan of the bowl section of the park so i jus sessioned the ledges an stuff. Later james rocked up so some dialed grind combos went down. Eddy was throwin bars like it waz nothin, im bleak i missed his 180 barzz. Mitz was bustin wall rides an even manual'd down a flat rail.. mad shiz but the coolest line goes to james with a opposite feeble up da rail to crooked down! props man. The wind eventually got too much an we made a mission but the day was great. peace

TOWN TOWN TOWN

Ya so last week we made a huge town mission just because we could. It was super successful an alot of riders came through. Since it was such a success we made another mission yesterday an met up at the same spot. This time we were prepared with lots of water, tools an most importantly cameras. Eric palmer an James Brawn also rocked the camera so head to their blogs to catch some spliffy photos. Greg an brad were down in CT so they were filming some mad shiz. Malcolm,wayne, jason, eddie, paul, werner an a few others are worth mentioning with some mad tricks and lines. James was busting the 3 set to 5 set with fakie teck tricks, pauli did a crazy fast hang five to drop down the 3 set an wayne was doin a manual to 180 down the 3 set to half cab down the 5. mad tricks went down but soon we started to mission around.
